Mathieu Lehanneur has transformed the choir at St Hilaire church in Melle within the Deux-Jèvres division in France, making a topographic, geological feeling. To reinforce that the church was constructed there, the Romanesque constructing has been infused with a mineral feeling and look with white marble.
What I like greatest about this design is that it feels prefer it grew organically from the ground, spilling over and forming across the church’s stone columns, like a pure panorama.
