Station BLÜ is a heavenly resort difficult on the outskirts of the Charlevoix space of Québec, bordering a river. Designed by Blouin Tardif Architecture-Environnement, the situation is comprised of three pavilions that residence a steam tub, sauna, therapeutic therapeutic massage areas, cold and warm swimming swimming pools, a great deal of relaxation areas and a restaurant. The architectural drawback was to highlight nature and mix the required parts of the spa by way of clear, trendy construction that respects the environment.
To unify the grouping of pavilions, Blouin Tardif sheathed them in black-colored picket in quite a few grades, which lend random texture whereas referring to the native vernacular.
The buildings each have big openings and terraces that scale back all through them. Their positioning varieties a pathway that highlights the surface setting, that of the resort’s outdoors facilities and the pure panorama previous. As one passes from one pavilion to the next, there’s the sense of being on stage as a participant inside the greater pure world.
The inside areas are uncluttered in an effort to allow the pure panorama to say the starring place. The restaurant’s big banquette and the steam tub mark the one use of shiny colors.
The entrance is marked by a walkway that cuts by means of the east wall of the first setting up. When visitors enter the developing, the extreme ceilings and film window work to problem them into the surface panorama and countryside.
