Nestled amongst the timber inside the Northwest Woods of Long Island’s East Hampton, Whale Rock Lane captures the luxurious inexperienced views surrounding it. The stucco home, designed by Eisner Design, is partially clad in standing seam metallic roof panels that protects the within from heat obtain and reduces cooling costs.
The home is made up of two volumes – most of the people area that houses the open kitchen, dwelling, and consuming areas, whereas the smaller development is the private wing that consists of three bedrooms.
With slanted one-and-a-half story rooflines, most of the people wing opens up onto a coated deck area, serving to to combine the within and exterior areas. The standing seam metallic is meant to wrap and defend the residence nearly as if “one’s hand might keep or cup an egg on its three sides.”
Visitors enter the home by following a pathway that circulates alongside a raised planter mattress.
The shiny inside is helped with skylights and residential home windows which could be positioned between the upper and reduce cabinets inside the kitchen. Who needs a backsplash anyway?
